About me
Hi, I’m Cori Anne, an astrologer, writer, occult historian, and podcaster based in Brooklyn, New York, by way of Asheville, North Carolina.
My relationship with astrology began over a decade ago when, like many who come into this celestial art, I was at a place in my life where I felt very uncertain of who I was, what I was doing, and where I was headed. I already held a casual interest in astrology, a deep interest in esoteric studies, and even an educational background in Classics. Given this, stumbling into this practice felt like a moment of so many of my own interests, practices, and life philosophies converging in a way I did not previously conceive as possible. Learning about my own birth chart helped me feel seen in ways I had never been seen before, leading me to develop a self-understanding that would lend towards finding my footing on my own life’s path.
My study of and journey with astrology has ebbed and flowed but remained consistent in my life over the course of the last 10 years. Within that interim I also found passions and pursued education and training in traditional witchcraft and European folkcraft, bioregional herbalism and foraging, and occult herbalism, all of which come together to inform my personal practice.
I first began formally offering astrology readings three years ago amidst my own Saturn return, and thus began my professional journey.
My educational path with astrology has been largely guided through self-disciplined study and research, however, I have worked with and learned from incredible teachers who have enriched my own knowledge and guided me through the process of developing a professional practice. Those incredible beings include the iconic Aliza Kelly and the brilliant Cristina Farella of Eighth House Astrology, who has been a close personal mentor through the years. The course of my own independent studies has been heavily guided and inspired by the invaluable work of Chris Brennan, Demetra George, and Jason Holley (just to name a few).
Additionally, my educators and mentors outside of astrology have also played a key role in my journey and relationship with the disciplines, practices, and principles that inform my personal craft and approach to astrology. Most importantly and notably of these is Rebecca Beyer, of Blood and Spicebush, who imparted her knowledge and wisdom through an apprenticeship that was one of the most impactful and valuable experiences of my life.
